two ways we make a difference
the first way
Each item you buy provides hot, nutritious food for a homeless child in Hanoi. Through our partnership with Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, we make pottery with a purpose.
How does this work?
1 cup = 1 meal
1 bowl/plate = 2 meals
1 serving dish = 3 meals
In other words...
Every cup you buy pays for 1 hot, nutritious lunch for a homeless child. Six cups, six meals.
Every bowl or plate you buy pays for 2 hot, nutritious lunches for a homeless child. Six bowls, twelve meals.
Every serving dish you buy pays for 3 hot, nutritious lunches for a homeless child. Six serving dishes, eighteen meals.
the second way
We ensure that our wonderful craftswomen are treated with dignity and respect. They are paid a sustainable, fair wage that will enable them to care for their families and provide them with hope for a kinder future. All trade should be Fair Trade.
All our items are created in small batches. It takes 10-14 days to create each item! This involves many stages and we want to ensure that our craftswomen are empowered to create with care, love and passion and not be unduly pressured to create in large quantities. This means our craftswomen can actually enjoy their craft and I truly believe this shows in the incredible items they make.
why blue dragon children's foundation?
Blue Dragon is an incredible, grassroots charity in Vietnam on a mission to end Human Trafficking. Not often spoken about, Human Trafficking is a massive problem across SE Asia that predominantly affects vulnerable children and women who are tricked into horrific situations in the guise of creating a better life.
I wanted to ensure that we partnered with a trustworthy organization making a real difference—one where I could be confident our contributions directly help those in need. Homeless children in Vietnam are typically children who come to the city from rural areas to escape extreme hardship. But instead find themselves alone with no food or shelter and vulnerable to abuse, human trafficking and exploitation.

Getting kids back to education or training as soon as possible and providing individual tutoring, study groups and workshops.
